With the 40th anniversary of Richard Nixon’s resignation coming up on August 9, there’s a slew of new books about Nixon and his presidency. I wrote recently about several of the new titles:
* I interviewed Pat Buchanan for Salon about his new book, The Greatest Comeback: How Richard Nixon Rose from Defeat to Create the New Majority. This weekend, I have a review of the book for the Chicago Tribune.
* I wrote an article for Kirkus Reviews about three new Nixon Books: John Dean’s The Nixon Defense: What He Knew and When He Knew It, Douglas Brinkley and Luke Nichter’s The Nixon Tapes: 1971-1972, and Ken Hughes’ Chasing Shadows: The Nixon Tapes, the Chennault Affair, and the Origins of Watergate.
